The Village Manager (VM) is a full-time, salaried role with a wage range of $28.00 – $32.00 per hour. The position includes partial payment towards individual medical insurance, a corporate-paid cell phone and laptop with internet service, and authorized software applications for business use.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team including Program & Peer Specialists, Assistant Program Specialist, and WeShine-employed villagers in a micro-village accommodating up to 10 adults.

• Ensure village operations 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, with on-call duties for urgent issues after hours.

• Provide direct support to villagers, overseeing their accountability to the Good Guest Agreement, and facilitating their transition when necessary.

• Maintain village cleanliness, upkeep, and partnerships with service providers, conducting regular tours and addressing issues proactively.

• Develop and lead weekly meetings with staff and villagers, fostering community involvement and decision-making.

• Coordinate training and educational initiatives for villagers and staff in collaboration with WeShine administrative staff and other Village Managers.

• Serve as the primary liaison with service providers, volunteers, and community partners within the village.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Human Services, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in shelter or village environments, with 2 years of supervisory and program coordination/management experience preferred.

• Proficiency in trauma-informed care, harm reduction strategies, and anti-racist practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural settings.

• Demonstrated ability to manage crises, enforce policies, and uphold confidentiality.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and good driving record required.
